a reprieve
"I have to say I have ordered Hannahs candles last year (CANT REMEMBER WHAT THEY WERE) but I found them awful. No smell, couldnt burn for more than 3 hrs. I went straight back to yankee. I must say I ordered the flower garden scent, mainly for the topper hoping it would fit my other jars (IT DOES) as the anniversary price was cheap and on easy pay. Well I have lit this today and I cant believe that this is a Hannahs candle. The scent is amazing and is filling the room and hallway. It is a pleasant floral smell. Not a rose or a specific flower but like a garden full of different flowers...just like it says. I have to say I am a bit confused as to why this candle range cant be burned for longer than three hrs. I have to say that I have burned mine today for the last seven hrs and it is still on. There is no problem with the glass or candle. I find the longer it is on the better it smells. I wonder if that was the problem with the first Hannahs candle I had as I only burned that for the recommended three hrs and that tunnelled. Obviously it would be informative if QVC and Jill could find out why there is a 3hr burn time limit? Aside from the quandry on burntime I would recommend this candle and nobody is more suprised than me!"

Beautiful scent in a nice package
"I bought 2 of the magnolia scented candles when they were reduced in price for Hannas Anniversary. The scent is wonderful - not strong or overpowering - just right. I particularly like the shape of the jar and the toppers - I plan to keep these once the candles are used up as I think that they would make really nice storage jars. Some say Hannas candles smoke alot - I keep the wicks trimmed tightly next to the wax which solves that problem, and as for the tunnelling effect I find that if I only have them burning for a short space of time they don't have the chance to liquefy across the top of the candle. The three hours burning time is a puzzle I have to admit for I sometimes have left the candles burning for longer than that and found there to be no difference in how the candles looked afterwards or in the residual heat of the jar itself. I liked these candles - you could too!"

Pity can't be burned for more than 3 hrs at a time
"I bought this in the Iris scent - it is beautiful, and very true to life. It fills the room. So, it's a huge shame you cannot burn this candle for more than 3 hours at a time ( manufacturers instructions on the base). Not much use if you have guests in for the evening .... I don't want to be running round blowing candles out after 3 hours. I would have re-ordered this and more from this range, but not with this short burn time. I don't know why (QVC can't answer this) - maybe the glass is not such good quality as the Yankee Candle glass ( they burn happily for 6/7 hours). Big shame."
