My daughter said she wanted headphones for her birthday the day these were on offer on QVC. I bought them and put them away for the big day. I then had three months of her describing and naming a brand that suggested they were a stethoscope rather than a musical accessory. I think disappointment registered on her face as the gift was opened but then she used them. She has REPEATEDLY boasted they are the best having tried and compared ALL others. I need not have worried and nor must you! Friends with other brands now all agree Bose are Simply The Best!

The sound reduction makes a difference

Although I did return this product, I wanted to give my opinion for potential buyers. I tried this product on a very long flight. When i had them on i could still hear the plane noise, however when i took them off at times it was unbelievable the noise of the plane without the earphones on. So although it doesnt block out all noise on a plane, it makes the journey so much more pleasant. The only problem i found, and the reason for the return, as they are 'on-ear' headphones, when I wore them for a while, my ears got sore, so i had to keep lifting them off to give my ears a break. But because of the sound reduction quality, I am most likely going to try the 'over-ear' variety Bose offer.

Excellent noise cancelling

I meant to write this review before now but having recently seen them on QVC reminded me I should. Two years ago I bought these and although a considered purchase regarding the cost I was so amazed at the quality I had to keep them, for me there was no choice, I was gob smacked.
Anyway, just after buying them I had to be rushed into hospital with a sub dural haematoma. I was in a bad way and could not sleep at all in the hospital ward due to the constant droning of the machines around me, they were driving me mad. I asked my wife Mandy to bring these in the next day and it was a real pleasure wearing them as all the droning noises were filtered out and I was able to get some much needed sleep, in peace. Nowadays I still wear them most days as I work on a computer and they filter out the fan noise perfectly.
All my music sounds better with them too :)

Top quality sound and amazing noise cancelling,well worth every penny....
