Ok, after reading reviews I was a little worried I had bought the wrong thing, but after a few days playing around I am more than happy it will do what I need and way more.
the menus are easy to use once you understand what you are doing, the image quality is great, battery life seems good and it does not seem to heavy.
The only thing I am not keen on is the zoom function, the switch is kinda small for my chubby fingers, but I have worked around that.
Al told I am extremely happy with this purchase and would recommend.

Great Camera

I too bought this when it was a TSV and have well tested it and tried all the features before writing this. For the money it is a good camera and should please anyone with quality photos. I have taken some lovely photos with it. I do wish people would give cameras a chance by getting to know their equipment before writing bad reviews.

Perfect for capturing a moment.

I bought this camera in red when it was a TSV and absolutely love it. I have top of the range DSLR cameras, with a multitude of lenses, plus under water video cameras, but this is perfect for it's ease of use. So often when you carry a big camera bag around, you miss out on an experience, whilst deciding which lens to use. This camera is light to carry, I have used it in different lighting conditions and have been pleased with the results. Last week I took a photo of a peacock sitting on a fence across a field, normally I would have used a telephoto lens, but the LZ30 zoom captured it perfectly with sharp detail and no camera shake. The macro photos have been excellent too. I travel extensively, AA batteries are a bonus with this camera, altogether I think it's a gem for an everyday camera, which is very easy to use and gives good results.

Lovely camera not quite sure what camera the other

I have been using this camera now since I got it as the TSV.
I have used it on lots of days out, these days have varied from rainy, cloudy, sunny, dull and windy days.
I have had no problems using this camera in any of these conditions except on a really windy day when i was using the zoom which i needed to be still for, using a tri pod would sort this out.
I would say i have easily taken 1000 pictures so far and they have all come out clearly and in focus.
The shutter speed is a little slow so to combat this I use it on the sport mode, I take pictures of many things animals, buildings and landscapes.
I recently printed some of my zoo animal pictures out to the 10x 8 size which when I took the picture I zoomed in on the animal, and these pictures came out lovely and clear. When I put my pictures on the computer I can zoom in on them and they are still clear.
I also only just changed my first set of batteries which came with the camera when I bought it, I was a bit worried about having a camera with AA batteries but after using my new camera I would happily buy another that uses AA batteries as it easy enough to get rechargeable spares for it.
Some people have made a point of saying this is just a basic point and shoot camera, well for me personally this is what I want.
I would imagine that most people just want to be able to pick up a camera and take their pictures so I can't see the problem with it being described as a point and shoot camera. I love taking Pictures and I currently have 4 cameras that I use regularly and this is equally as good as my others.
I would recommend this camera to anyone and I really don't know why this camera has got so many bad reviews.
