Recevied this camera as a updte to a Lumix bridge camera. Really wanted to like it but when using it the zoom sticks it feels poor quality and does not do what its was claimed. There is no way the photo of the plane was taken on the standard zoom approx 26 miles away. It did not seem an improvement in taking photo of a bird in the garden.
Learnt my lesson here if it looks to good to be true it normally is Avoid at all cost

good starter camera

Good starter camera, takes excellent quality photos, but I should have read some of the answers to the questions, ie. weight, I found this bridge camera to be very bulky and heavy, I wish QVC would offer a small compact bridge camera, It had a great feel rubberised casing , felt good to handle, easy to take photos and focus using the eye piece, zoom is manual so made it easier to take photos and focus , did not use the video facility, loved the idea that the viewing screen was movable to easy to take photos over peoples heads etc or low down wish more cameras had this facility as sorry to say this camera is not for me, Have to send it back, will have to keep looking
