A very nice small camera

Unfortunately I had a few problems with the camera that I received as after charging it wouldn't hold the settings eg date and time and the shutter wouldn't work. After a few trials I found that all worked after I removed the battery and put it back in. The camera then worked fine and was really nice once I got used to Sony's menu system, hence the four stars. Unfortunately due to the initial problems I sent the camera back, but I am sure that these problems were a one off. I have since bought the more advanced version of this camera with no problems at all! Overall a very nice camera

Upon checking, this is an old model and it has replaced. The video recordings, when played back seemed to shudder. The option to have a single colour within a b&q photo seems good, however the yellow only appears in part, in other bits the yellow is shown as white.. The HDR facility isn't really HDR it allows 3 photos to be taken at slightly different exposures and produces a composite of the 3. The charging of the battery whilst in the camera is a bit of a pain. The photo quality at close range is very good. But I expected something better - it has gone back.

I own a few cameras and this is the latest that I have added to my collection.
The photo quality at high ISO is excellent and the camera has a rich feature set.
The menu can be a bit long winded to navigate at times, but this may be due to this being the first Sony camera that I have owned.
The performance is fantastic and picture quality is excellent due to the larger size of the sensor compared to other brands of camera of a similar size.
Great price and even better on Take 3.

Nice Camera but hate the charger!!

This is yet another very nice well made camera from Sony, but why, oh why have they included such a terrible charger, one that has to be used inconjunction with the camera for charging,it takes hours to charge up fully!!The original form of chargers were much better.Anyhow, apart from the charging up,the camera is an excellent MicroFour Thirds system,I like the new "pop up flash",which is built in and is much better than the previous one on the NEX5K camera.A great improvement.The photos at times seem somewhat slightly overblown on exposure,but nothing very serious. The camera handles really well,and once you have had this system (I refer to the Menus) you will find it very easy to navigate the camera. The camera is extremely light,well made,I personally love this camera,with the exception of the charger. Having said that I am now going to use the charger included with my NEX5K,which will charge the battery up.This is much better,as you can charge two if necessary for use when needed.Overall another very nice camera from Sony I think!
