brilliant purchase
"it has taken a few weeks to write this review due to major surgery but now they have been tried and tested here goes - What a difference they make, they help control the excess wobbly bits and gives me personally a sleeker shape. I am no longer young, have had a family and have various health issues so I can no longer kid myself that I have that 'youthful figure'.I needed help and here it was in the form of slimming shorts. I also followed the tips of stretching each pair over kitchen/dinning chairs before putting them on - it worked a treat. Care with washing and drying also keeps shape and flexibility in fabric - I am SO totally glad i swallowed my pride and bought them - sexy they ain't practical they are - thank you QVC"

"Thank goodness for QVC's returns policy! Very difficult to put on. The high waisted pants would not stay in place. Measured my waist before and after - no difference. Wish I had read the reviews before ordering."

"Brought the XL as I'm a size 20-22, looking forward to them. Arrived and tried, oh dear, up to knees and that was it. Returned and ordered 2XL. Arrived and tried. Had to send back will just have to grin and bear not being able to wear smart trousers."

"I wasn't too sure what to expect from these, but boy am I glad I took the bull by the horns and ordered them.
I lose a complete dress size when wearing them, they are comfortable to wear all day.
My one gripe however is when 'the call of nature' hits one, it's such a pain to have to wriggle back into them afterwards! Can the manufacturers change the gusset to poppers? It would be so much better."

Not as good as they seem!
"Disappointed with these - they certainly don't do what thy are shown as doing. I found they rolled down and weren't particularly strong! They do 'smooth' you though so I've decided to keep them"

Wish I Had Read Reviews Before Buying
"Really wish that I had read the reviews before ordering. As the negative comments are very accurate. If you have any tummy at all, the shorts just cut you in two and make a wobbly tummy look more noticeable by showing rolls of fat and lines. Returned this item, as didn’t improve appearance at all."

"I bought a pack of these high pants in black and nude a number of years ago as I am a dress size 16 and an apple shape so my tummy is much bigger than my hips and thighs.
Needless to say, these pants do shave an inch or so off the overall circumference of the tum, but as soon as you sit down they roll down and jam under any tummy roll(s) that you may have, making that area look even bulkier. The rim of the leg section does show under tight fitting summer trousers which is a shame.
I personally prefer the slimming all in ones as they are far more comfortable to wear and give a good overall shape."

"I endorse all of the other comments about these garments that show the poor rating,finding the item particularly disappointing. The classic shorts did fit well enough but I ended up with a huge roll of fat on my waist that was not there before and I looked like a Michelin Tyre advert!!!! The high waisted one was just to difficult to get on and the results didn't justify all of the effort involved. I love Q.V.C. and this is the first time that I have returned any item, I wish that I had read these reviews before ordering.Needless to say I have returned them, thank goodness for the 30 day money back guarantee."

"THE SHORTS WERE GREAT FOR SMOOTHING BUT I DIDN'T LOSE ANY INCHES, I HATED THE HIGH WAISTED PANTS IT WAS A STRUGGLE TO GET THEM ON AND THEY KEPT ROLLING DOWN SO IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FALSE ECONOMY TO KEEP THIS PACK OF THREE PANTS AND ONLY WEAR THE TWO PAIR OF SHORTS."

Life's too short to wrestle with these
"What a performance to even get them on! When I finally succeeded, I looked worse than I did without them. My tummy was flatter, but my midriff reminded me of the Michelin tyre advert. And my knees seemed to inflate. Going back."

Roll up, roll up, or roll down.
"Have been wanting to try these for some time now but went for another brand which worked wonders, so when I saw this recently and wanted to add to my collection, thought I'd give it a try. Put them on the chair to stretch them out as instructed, put them on. Not only did they roll up, roll down and roll up again, they decided to cut me in two, and when I took them off found that they had frayed at the seams. Won't be sending them back because I've worn them and won't be wearing them again and please don't waste your money purchasing these roll up roll ups."

"Recently finding my trousers a little tight i found that slim & lift has solved my problem. I can now wear my trousers and to be honest my bum in my trousers looks better than before. No more lines showing, feels much smoother and slimmer and they are very comfortable. When wearing the high waist ones tuck the top under your bra and that might solve the problem of it rolling down. Might not suit everyone but at least if you buy them from QVC you can send them back."

Disappointing
"Just received these shorts, and couldn't wait to try to see the difference. There was a little difference mainly smoothness but boy where they uncomfortable. They done nothing but role down on me. I am returning these shorts."

well worth a try
"I have worn slim n lift for a number of years yes they do take a bit of getting used to but I have found that they give you a bit of shape I am not very big and a bit overweight and they have given me the opportunity to wear items of clothing that I would never have tried before friends have commented on the difference they make the only downside is that the high waisted ones are fine at the front but roll down at the back"

Not for anyone on a hurry!
"I found these very hard to put on then when on made little difference to my shape I did find I had a smooth line, which was nice. I would not buy again as these are not comfortable or easy to wear and look horrible. I, too have a pair of trousers I can not do up(like the model),but unlike her still could not do them up! I also found the high waist ones rolled down and made bulges which look as bad as the bumps you maybe trying to hide. This is one purchase I shall put down to experience."

what a waist of money
"i got this set last year, and what a waist of money they are , you can't wear them all day without them rolling down, i have been put off with the slim n lift. yes they do give u a flat tummy and smoother thights only if you don't sit down or go for long walks in them."

Hopeless
"Both my daughter and I have tried these and neither of us could even get them on .
I am size 16 /18 and ordered both sizes to see which was a best fit for me and as I say couldn'get them on
Never mind worth a try back to M and S

"I purchased these for my daughter who put them on then immediately took them off she said they were so uncomfortable and like the other reviews said the high waisted shorts just rolled down i returned then straight away and awaiting a refund. I wish i had checked the reviews before ordering"
